Wealth is a Positive Possession When You Use it to Create Value For Others

There’s nothing wrong with becoming rich if you use your wealth to good end. Remember: The wealthy create the work for the majority. “The point is to get so much money that money’s not the point anymore.” William Hamilton One subject that we always hear when lawmakers campaign for higher taxes on the wealthy disgusts me. Politicians talk about the way that wealthy people pay fewer taxes than the middle and lower class workers. Do you truly believe that?

Think about this for a moment. The rich pay most of the taxes the government gets, and those who are business owners are often double-taxed. By that I mean that they pay income taxes on the money their business makes, and then they must turn around and pay personal income tax on that money again when the business pays them. They pay other taxes that the average person doesn’t pay too. When you own your own business you pay what the government calls a self-employment tax, just because you decided not to work for someone else. In addition to that you still pay social security tax, Medicare tax, and all those other taxes that everybody else pays.

The politicians pick on the tax breaks that the wealthy get for business expenses. They get away with it because they make the wealthy look like bad people just because they have money. Well why shouldn’t they have money? They work for it. Why shouldn’t they get deductions for business expenses? As their businesses grow they create jobs, and hire people who want to work for the business to fill those positions. Every person in this world has a right, and the opportunity, to work for wealth too. “Wealth, properly employed, is a blessing; and a man may lawfully endeavor to increase it by honest means.”

Muhammad Most people are either don’t want to commit to the hard work it takes to create a successful business, or are stuck in their comfort zones, happy to coast along in a day-to-day job that the business owner employs them for. Wealthy entrepreneurs have the money because they took action, started a business, worked their tails off, and made that business grow. That’s how most people earn their wealth. They start a business, grow it into success, and make jobs for others. I say you should get rich – so you can create work for the people who want it.
